Especially when they’re packed with extra goodness thanks to the sneaky carrot, zucchini & apple we’ve added in. But hold on, the real hero of these is Veggie Hero. Packing a real punch, the meal time saviour is back at it again squeezing in Vitamins A, C, D, E, B Vitamins, Zinc, Folate & Iodine, all from wholefood sources. Ingredients
PANTRY ITEMS
4 tbsp Veggie Hero for inside + 2 tbsp for topping
4 sheets puff pastry
1 carrot grated
1 zucchini grated
1 apple grated
1 garlic clove finely grated
500g beef mince
500g pork mince
1 tbsp salt
1 egg (for egg wash)
Black sesame seeds for topping
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and remove puff pastry from the freezer
- Line a baking tray with baking paper
- In a large bowl mix together all the filling ingredients until combined
- Divide the mixture into four and create little sausages down the middle of each sheet of puff pastry with the mixture
- Roll each sheet to form the sausage roll, cut into little 4 cm rolls and place on baking paper
- Brush on the egg wash then top with black sesame seeds and sprinkle with Veggie Hero
- Bake for 30 mins
- Serve warm and watch them disappear!

Ready in: 40 mins
Notes: Freezes well. Freeze in 4 cm pieces with no toppings, then defrost for a day in the fridge, egg wash, add toppings, bake and serve.
